Dr Melinda Jone from the University of Canterbury passed away on 25 September 2019. The editorial team of Austaxpolicy would like to express our deepest condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.
Melinda was a regular contributor to the Austaxpolicy blog. Her most recent piece was published two months ago in August 2019. Her writings mainly focused on how the processes of tax dispute resolution can be improved utilising dispute system design (DSD) principles.
Melinda was a research assistant in the Department of Accounting and Information Systems, College of Business and Law, University of Canterbury, New Zealand. She received her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), Master of Commerce and PhD from the University of Canterbury.
