EUROMOD is a tax-benefit microsimulation model for the European Union that enables researchers and policy analysts to calculate, in a comparable manner, the effects of taxes and benefits on household incomes and work incentives for the population of each country and for the EU as a whole.
The updated release of the EUROMOD model (I1.0+) includes:
- tax-benefit policies up to 2018 for all countries;
- 2016 input data for all countries;
- revisions to older policy systems and datasets (since public release H1.0+).
Country reports
EUROMOD Country Reports document the way in which each country’s tax-benefit system is modelled. They contain sections on:
- an overview of the national tax-benefit system;
- a description of the modelled tax-benefit instruments, with reference to EUROMOD parameter sheets;
- a description of the micro-database and adjustments to the original data;
- a validation of baseline output in relation to other statistics.
Country reports relating to the latest version of EUROMOD can be found here.
