Project SAFE (State Action in Fiscal Emergencies), is an effort by academics and their students to help American states mitigate the fiscal crisis caused by the COVID-19 by providing policy recommendations backed by research.
Participants include Reuven Avi-Yonah (University of Michigan), David Gamage (Indiana University, Bloomington), Daniel Hemel (University of Chicago), Andrew Hayashi (University of Virginia), Ruth Mason (University of Virginia), Darien Shanske (UC Davis) and Gladriel Shobe (Brigham Young University).
