The draft report covers the chronic under utilisation of existing data in Australia and suggests a new government legislative framework that would promote accessibility for trusted users. The report particularly stresses the lack of capability in sharing data between government agencies, as well as with researchers and policy-makers. The report is open to public submissions until Monday 12 December 2016. For the report and details on how to make a submission see here.
