The Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre (BCEC) and the Centre for Labour Market Research at the University of Canberra will host the 33rd Australian Labour Market Research Workshop (ALMRW) 2025.

The ALMR Workshop is an annual conference designed to disseminate high-quality research on labour economics and labour relations and promote informed debate among economists about current labour policy and market issues facing the Australian labour market.

The workshop has a long and illustrious tradition as a forum for engagement between policy, research and industry communities on contemporary labour market issues.

The workshop will address the following broad themes:

  • Labour productivity: measurement and growth
  • Labour markets and demographic change
  • Full employment: measurement and delivery
  • Education, training and skills development
  • Gender equity and equality
  • Disability and employment
  • Work organisation and redesign
  • Labour econometrics
  • Work, welfare and the disadvantaged
