NSW Treasury has recently launched a new book to celebrate 200 years since the appointment of NSW’s first Treasurer, William Balcombe. NSW Treasury is the first and oldest government agency in Australia.

Titled “Walking a Tightrope” and edited by Paul Ashton, the book discusses key milestones and moments in the history of NSW Treasury and includes one chapter by Brett Bondfield that provides an overview of the fiscal environment that has evolved around the agency since Federation.

The book can be accessed at the NSW Treasury website.
