The Australasian Tax Teachers’ Association (ATTA) is currently calling for papers for its upcoming 32nd Annual Conference. The theme of the conference is ‘Small Business and Innovation: Does the Taxation Law support or hinder growth?’. The Tasmanian School of Business and Economics will host the conference at The Old Woolstore, Hobart from 22nd to 24th January 2020.

The ATTA encourage papers on the conference theme, but welcome papers on any aspect of taxation, including the scholarship of tax teaching and learning. The ATTA also encourage current PhD students to submit an abstract for a symposium on 22 January 2020 where they can present their work. Six conference fee scholarships will be provided for PhD students. Further information about the scholarship is available in the ATTA’s June newsletter.

If you wish to present at the conference, you may email your abstract of no more than 500 words to John McLaren at [email protected] by 15 August 2019. The ATTA will advise acceptance by 1 September 2019.

Registration is also available now. Please visit the conference website at http://www.utas.edu.au/atta-2020 for further information.
