The Australasian Tax Teachers’ Association (ATTA) has announced that its 33rd annual conference will go ahead in Christchurch, New Zealand in January 2022, in a hybrid format. The University of Canterbury Business School will be the host of next year’s conference.

The theme of the conference is “The Future of Tax: More than Just Politics?” The ATTA encourages papers on the conference theme, but welcomes papers on any aspect of taxation, including the scholarship of tax teaching and learning. They also encourage current PhD students to submit an abstract for a symposium on 19th January 2022 where they can present their work. Six conference fee scholarships will be provided for PhD students.

Those who wish to present at the main conference should email an abstract of no more than 500 words to Adrian Sawyer ([email protected]) by 31 August 2021 while those who wish to present at the PhD symposium should send their abstracts to Alistair Hodson ([email protected]). Notification of paper acceptance will be advised by 20 September 2021.
