On Monday 26 April 2021, the Blueprint Institute will hold a panel discussion and ask: What will it take to fix our broken tax system?
The panel includes:
- Jo Masters, Ernst & Young Oceania Partner and Chief Economist;
- John Hewson, Federal Opposition Leader from 1990 to 1994, and Chair of the Tax and Transfer Policy Institute at the ANU;
- Miranda Stewart, Professor at Melbourne University Law School, and Honorary Professor, Crawford School of Public Policy at the ANU; and
- Steven Hamilton, Chief Economist at Blueprint Institute, and Assistant Professor of Economics at The George Washington University.
The event will be moderated by Michael Stutchbury, Editor-in-Chief of the Australian Financial Review. Jason Falinski, the Chair of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Tax and Revenue, will offer some opening remarks. A Q&A session will follow the panel discussion.
