The Australasian Tax Teachers Association (ATTA) announces their 37th annual conference taking place in 2026.

Date: 14-16 January 2026

Location: Victoria University Wellington, New Zealand (Te Herenga Waka Wellington, Aotearoa)

Keynote Speakers: Peter Mersi, Commissioner and Chief Executive of Inland Revenue and Ruth Owen CBE, Tax Ombudsman

Social Events: 

  • Welcome Function on Wednesday night
  • Conference Dinner on Thursday at Wharewaka, Taranaki Wharf, Wellington
  • Closing function at Thistle Inn, Thorndon, Wellington

The conference will commence on Thursday 15th with a Panel Discussion on the conference theme: People, Technology, Taxation. Prior to this, Wednesday 14th will be devoted to PhD candidates and their scholarship.
