Registrations are now open for the 2019 Oceania Stata Conference ‘Stata in the Fast Changing World of Data Science’, which will take place on Tuesday 20 August 2019 in Sydney, with optional workshops on Monday 19 August. The meeting will provide Stata users from across Oceania and the world the opportunity to exchange ideas, experiences, and information on new applications of the software. Senior staff from StataCorp will be represented, and the conference welcomes everyone who is interested in using Stata.

Workshop 1 will be presented by TTPI Director Professor Robert Breunig on 19 August.

Call for presentations

Does your research rely on Stata? Do you have insights that would enlighten colleagues in your field? Prepare your abstract for the 2019 Oceania Stata Conference.

Presentation guidelines

All Stata users are encouraged to submit abstracts for possible presentations. In particular, topics that work well in one field of study that can be applied to other fields of study. However, the presentations can address any Stata-related topic. Submissions are subject to approval by the scientific committee.

Five themes will be covered:

  • data visualisation;
  • automation;
  • big data;
  • longitudinal analysis;
  • and survival analysis.

Submitting your presentation

Submit an abstract of approximately 300 words (ASCII text; no mathematical symbols). Please include a short, informative title, and indicate whether you wish to be considered for a shorter (20-minute) or longer (40-minute) presentation. If your presentation has multiple authors, please identify the presenter.

Abstract submissions are welcomed for both inclusion in the program and in the poster session. A poster competition will also be run as part of the conference.

The deadline for submissions is 10 June 2019.
