Zoe Staines

Zoe Staines is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Social Science at The University of Queensland. Her research is deeply interdisciplinary, critically examining social policy, gender and work, welfare conditionality, coloniality, and rural/remote crime and governance, with a central focus on addressing structural injustice. Before entering academia, she held senior research and policy roles in government and the not-for-profit sector. She is currently Co-Editor-In-Chief of the Australian Journal of Social Issues.
