In the 2018 Australian Taxation Office Tax Super + You competition, students from year 7-12 across Australia developed a campaign pitch showing how they would encourage their friends to learn about the importance of paying tax and building superannuation.

The winners have now been announced, with animations, comedy skits and a rap music video amongst the prize-winning entries.

Assistant Commissioner Sally Bektas, one of the three judges for the competition, said that the entries received in the competition this year were incredibly creative, innovative and set a high standard; the People’s Choice Award was also competitive, with almost 2,500 votes from the public.

Ms Bektas thanked the participating students and the teachers and schools that supported them, ‘It’s great to see students really putting thought into our tax and super systems and we look forward to running the competition again next year’.
